Finally, I’ve got another vlog up on the YouTube channel. I know… it’s been months since the last one. Sometimes I think this blog and the YouTube channel are a little bit cursed. I just start to get into a routine with them and WHAM something happens to disrupt it all.
When visiting somewhere you obviously need to find a Local Yarn Shop for a look. That’s how I ended up in Kathy’s Knits in Edinburgh with Celtic Cable Knits by Lucy Hague.
Sometimes you just have to admit to mucked up and frog your knitting…
I knit a lot of socks, but I don’t often add patterns or embellishments that I’d designed myself. Over years I’ve refined a pattern which I carry around in my head for a plain sock which usually forms the basis of all the socks I make. So when I finished the ‘Long long Witchy Socks’ and immediately cast on a pair of ankle socks I was slightly surprised to discover I really wanted to add a small amount of patterning.
Spring has arrived and I’m sock knitting in the sunshine with the cat.
